I made the trip along to the Birmingham Zine Fair over the weekend, having not attended last years one, I couldn’t tell you how it has grown from over the past year. But I think lat years one was held in a small pub, and this one was held at WeAreBirmingham; a long shop space in the centre of the city. I looks like this is one that could grow and grow!
Anyway, there was a good mix of familiar faces and new zines that I haven’t heard or seen before. Above are my purchases from the day, I got that pink wrestling one for Greg, because if you didn’t know Greg LOVES wrestling. ‘The Shooting Star Press’ is by Tom J Hughes, who also had a table full of excellent looking zines. I also got Decadence #8, you should know Decadence, and a small zine of Marsupial Animals by collemoki. Then I picked one of the free zines up of the communal table.
I’ve not read any of them yet.
Good day all round, topped off with a visit to ‘Baguette World’, if you know Birmingham, I would expect you know this.
